I subscribed to Boeing’s PR service a few months back as they have some wonderful video imagery available to the press. Subsequently I am on their PR list which is kind of cool. They send out three or four a day some of which are actually rather interesting…at least to me. Today I received one touting the VIP customization possibilities for the soon-to-be released 787 Dreamliner. Its a cool jet and one of Boeing’s responses to the rapidly becoming less promising A380. The 787 promises amazing customer comfort combined with impressive savings in operational cost for the airlines. They have amassed an impressive order book for the 787, including according to the PR, 5 orders for the VIP version. With the VIP 787, “owners can fly anywhere in the world nonstop, and on those long-distance flights, it is critical to have amenities and a cabin environment that allow passengers to be completely comfortable and productive.” They have provided two rather sumptuous photos of the mockups they are using to sell these planes. Rather impressive. In this shot of a lounge, one can certainly plot world domination…notice the impressive globe. In another, one can sleep like a sultan.
Although I am sure that would not be the probable target market 😉
Btw, photos are courtesy of Boeing.
Down the line of sumptuous jets…aSpanish site has a series of shots of John Travolta’s private 707 and the house/airport terminal of his in Florida.
