CHRIST CHURCH HALL, SANDYMOUNT GREEN
(beside Mount Tabor Care Centre)
Since we opened the new church hall almost 30 years ago, we are pleased that it has become a vital amenity for the local Sandymount community. However, during the Covid-19 restrictions, it has become clear that the premises will not be able to reopen until essential structural repairs have been carried out on the roof and ceiling of the main hall and ancillary rooms. We will also be needing to upgrade some of our fire safety installations.
We fund ongoing maintenance from rental income, but this has been decimated over the course of 2020, leaving us with a dilemma. We need to complete the necessary works as soon as possible so that the hall can return to serving the community. We are therefore appealing for financial contributions. Can you help?
Christ Church Hall is used by the Sandymount Community for an ever growing range of activities:
Children: Sandymount Green Montessori, Girls’ Brigade, Ballet, Gymnastics, Birthday Parties
Parents and Toddlers: Singing Together, Massage, Sensory Activity, Language Classes, Summer/Holiday Camps
Adults: Sandymount Explorers, Bridge, Yoga, Pilates, Keep Fit, Badminton
Community: Rehearsal space, Exhibition space, Meetings, Cultural events, STTCA/Dublin City Council events (Easter, Summer, Autumn, Christmas, as well as back-up for outdoor events in inclement weather), Sales, Craft Fairs, Coffee Mornings, Fund Raising
We are grateful that Christ Church Sandymount is at the heart of our local community, offering both a physical space and support for local activities. But we now urgently need your help to keep Christ Church Hall open for wider community use. Please can you make a contribution to our appeal? All donations, large or small, will be greatly appreciated.
